This blog was formerly dedicated in 2009 to my Dad who died of Alzheimer's in 2013. It's been three years now...and I find myself missing blogging...so I am re-inventing my blog... because, after all, life is about moving through, and going forward...

Happy Independence Day Everyone!!!

Happy 4th of July!

May you and yours
always feel safe and free.
May you be happy,
healthy and loved.
May you spend the day
with those you love,
or cozied up in a chair
or a couch,
alone,
nappin', snackin' and watchin' TV.
May you choose to visit
your blog friends
or just have a day
for you.
May you feel free to do
whatever
is your inclination.
May you watch fireworks
with a crowd,
on TV,
 enjoy your own,
or
not.
Today is all about freedom.

Very nice, Donna. I have been fortunate enough to do several of the above mentioned things already today.

liked your poem, Donna. It is true that today is a day about freedom indeed! I'm so glad I live in a country where I can be free to worship who I want, spend my time like I want, have freedom of speech, etc. Truly a great country we live in!

I hope you are having a nice day however you are planning to spend it!

Didn't think I was leaving the house today but I was wrong. Our youngest daughter invited us over. It was a great day. Happy 4th!
