This blog was formerly dedicated in 2009 to my Dad who died of Alzheimer's in 2013. It's been three years now...and I find myself missing blogging...so I am re-inventing my blog... because, after all, life is about moving through, and going forward...

Just listed our home...

Our Agent just placed
a lock box on our front door.
Our home will be listed on 31 internet sites.
The paperwork is signed.

The sign goes up Monday....
and I can't stop crying...
Disconnecting
has always been
a big challenge
for me...

I just read a wonderful, poetic, uplifting comment from Jerry at http://gentlysaid.blogspot.com/  (on my other blog ) which was so apropos for the mood I was in... check out his blog, you will be glad you did....

Wow! you made the big step. I know what you mean about making changes in your life. I have the same problem. I hate changes, but some of them are good and I know you will be happier closer to your grandkids and family. Good luck, and I hope your home sells fast.

donna.. so sorry.. since i was a realtor for umpteen years i know how stressful that is... when i sold a few times myself, i just kept saying the memories will come with me... and once i got in to my new place, sure enough they had... hope that your new place brings you as much happiness as the one you are leaving..

Let your self feel what you must about leaving where you are, but don't forget to temper it with the excitement of all the good things you are moving to.

Mari..We ARE kindred spirits, aren't we? :} Yes, I will not only take my memories with me, but will also come back to visit!!!

Donna: Thank you Donna. I love making cozy nests, and then I bond and plant deep roots. Pulling them out is always tough. Once I find a new place to build and create a new home, it will be so exciting!

Cindi: How kind of you..and what a lovely sentiment. Yes, my memories will definitely come with me, and like I told Mari, I will also come back and visit.

Jeanie my dear one...thank you for your sage advice. So true, so true.

Gayle: Thanks sweetie...that's just how it is too. I have lots to keep me motivated "on the road to love"...

We've moved something like nine times in the 36 years we've been married, and I tried to view each one as a new adventure, a chance at a new beginning, or as a continuation of the journey we were already on.

And, of course, a chance to declutter and to find things I haven't seen in years! You also get to redecorate, a blank slate, yet at the same time adding the items of our past to the mix to make it truly our home.

Good luck with the sale! Hopefully it won't be long and painful like the two years we had our last one on the market in 2005.

So sorry you are sad! It's always hard to let go of the past and do something new even if it's what you want to do. Hope you feel better soon.
