This blog was formerly dedicated in 2009 to my Dad who died of Alzheimer's in 2013. It's been three years now...and I find myself missing blogging...so I am re-inventing my blog... because, after all, life is about moving through, and going forward...

A Pleasant Surprise Upon Waking...

Talked to Mom today...she said my youngest brother E_____ went to visit Dad yesterday.  When he arrived, Dad was asleep.  Doctor-Doctor told my brother Dad had left specific instructions to wake him if any family came by.  She also inquired as to how Mom was doing.  All the staff miss her...

E______ woke Dad... "What a pleasant surprise!'  Dad recognized E____ immediately, hugging him and telling him how good it was to see him.  They went out on the patio and had a nice visit.

Dad wanted to make sure my brother told all of us how well he was doing and how great he felt...  love you Papa-doots....

Good visits are always something to be thankful for!
PS - I have a friend who has a great-grandson that just turned one. I always think he and Jacob look a lot alike. I showed her a picture and she agrees. Here's the address of a post that shows his picture. See if you agree!

That is inspiring, and makes me feel happy.

It is so great that no matter what is going on with his brain you Dad's love for his family shines through.

Hi, Donna how are you? I wanted to see how you are, what you're doing and to wish you a happy Sunday.

Good to hear Dad recognized and enjoyed visiting with your brother. Those fleeting moments sure do make for good times.
