This blog was formerly dedicated in 2009 to my Dad who died of Alzheimer's in 2013. It's been three years now...and I find myself missing blogging...so I am re-inventing my blog... because, after all, life is about moving through, and going forward...

Fatherly Inheritance...

the poorest man
leaves his children
 the richest inheritance."

So true. I'm feeling a little weepy because we are awaiting word about Jim's Dad. He is 99 1/2, in a nursing home and refusing his meds, and oxygen. He's told us that he wants to die. All the kids have agreed that they should just keep him comfortable since he signed a DNR and his wish was not to be kept alive just to lie there - quality of life is important to him and he has NO quality of life left. He's lived a long and good life and he's ready to go. It is still sad, though.

Hope your Dad is hanging in there.
