Everyone needs a quiet place...

This blog is dedicated to my Father, who has Alzheimer's. He had to be admitted to a nursing home in June, 2009. I write about our family's experience with him. We choose to see dementia/Alzheimer's as unpredictable weather... Some days are stormy with thunder and lightning, other days are cloudy, cold and rainy, but today is sunny and I feel like a walk on the beach...

Dad's favorite colors are blue and green...The beach is a special place where we made many family memories. Dad was a strong swimmer and loved to swim in the ocean. After his swim, we would carry our buckets and walk with him looking for shells, beach glass and interesting rocks... I love you Dad.

Fourteen Months Old...

Jacob, all dressed up, ready to roll and celebrate being 14 months old on 11-20-11. Check out those kissy lips!

Jacob smiling with his many teeth awaiting his first Thanksgiving Turkey...

Wanted to share a couple more pictures of Jacob, but for some reason, I am getting error messages when I attempt to upload the photos... Maybe there is yet another problem with Blogger...

I'm glad you got these two posted. Jacob is such a cutie. I kept Beck for a couple of hour yesterday and he moves so fast all the time that it wore me out, but it was fun.
