This blog was formerly dedicated in 2009 to my Dad who died of Alzheimer's in 2013. It's been three years now...and I find myself missing blogging...so I am re-inventing my blog... because, after all, life is about moving through, and going forward...

Doing My Civil Duty...

I had Jury Duty today.  I was scheduled at noon.  I sat and read for a couple of hours and then struck up a conversation with two other women for the remainder of the day.  We were released at 4:30pm.  I have served my civil duty for the next two more years...

During the wait, my youngest daughter sent me a pic of my youngest grandson via my phone.  ADORABLE!!  She had just dried him off from a bath. It shows his face with the hoodie towel over his head...I will post it once I figure how to load it from my phone to my computer...

I'm so pooped....don't even know if I can stay awake for Dancing With The Stars...

I have never been asked to do jury duty yet. Good for you for being done for a few years.
I'll be looking forward to that picture!

good for you for going, Donna! I have never actually had to go in, usually got the call in thingy and they never needed me. I think it is exhausting just sitting and waiting like that.

I hope you can figure out how to post the picture of your grandson; sounds cute!

I have only been called for jury duty once in the last 10 or 15 years, and never had to serve on a jury. Nice that you are done for a while now.
Looking forward to the new pic.

I was called in once for a guy who had already been convicted of murdering his wife but was gettin' a retrial. I answered all the questions wrong and was dismissed! I'm thrilled 'cause it gave me the willies just to be in the same room with the guy.

God bless ya and have the most incredible week sweetie!!!!

I am kind of waiting to be called for jury duty too! We'll see.

At least you got it over with.

The results for the DWTS will be on tonight.

I love Jennifer and Bristol - who do you like?

Mari: Since moving her almost five years ago, this was my 2nd time. In CA I was called almost every year. I served on two trials, both were "hung jurys" and it was VERY frustrating.

betty: I always bring knitting and a couple of books. I read unless I find someone interesting to chat with, which I always do.

Jeanie: My husband has NEVER been called...but I seem to always get summoned.

Nezzy: Two groups had to fill out thick questionaires for a trial in two weeks. I am so glad I did not get in either of those groups. I would have trouble with a murder trial as well.

Chatty: I like Jennifer and Kyle. I was thinking Bristol should go because she cannot get her face sync'd with the music and appears so disconnected. Last night she did so well on the Paso, but gave me chills on her "haunting" waltz (but she did go in and out with her emotions. She just can't stay focused on Mark). I LOVE Mark and Derrick as dance teachers. I think she will go home.
