This blog was formerly dedicated in 2009 to my Dad who died of Alzheimer's in 2013. It's been three years now...and I find myself missing blogging...so I am re-inventing my blog... because, after all, life is about moving through, and going forward...

Please Pray....

My Mom has claustrophobia and has to have a two hour MRI on November 21st.  The X-ray showed a fractured spine, arthritis and osteoporosis.  The MRI will show all the soft tissues to help determine if she has a pinched nerve. The doctor is exploring why Mom keeps having the electric shock sensation in her legs. We would really appreciate your prayers as the MRI is going to be a real emotional challenge for her.

My brother in law is having knee surgery November 22nd.  Please pray for the surgeon, his doctors and for his speedy recovery and healing.

One of my friends has a mysterious paralysis and has been bed ridden for several months.  Her doctors just discovered a lesion on her spine through an MRI.  Please pray for her surgeons, doctors and her quick recover and ability to walk again.

I am having a colonoscopy on November 22nd.  I would appreciate  your prayers too.  In 2007 I was one of 40,000 people who were exposed to Hepatitis B, C and HIV from two Las Vegas colonoscopy clinics re-using syringes and anesthesia vials.  Our records were seized by the police.  I underwent blood tests every 6 months for two years and tested negative for everything.  Recently I had some tests and both my GYN and Primary Care doctor feel another colonoscopy should be done again for my best interests. Please pray for good results.

Thank you!

Lots to pray for! I just had a colonoscopy and it wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be. I'll pray for all.

I will keep you and your mom and the others in my thoughts and prayers. I hope with what she will be going through that they are able to find a way to relieve your mom's symptoms.

Oh Donna, so sorry to hear about your Mom and others. No wonder she has been suffering. My prayers and thoughts will be with you,and the others. That is horrible to have had to deal with the re-using of syringes, etc. May God's healing hand rest on you and your family.

Oh my goodness Donna, it never rains but it pours!! No wonder your poor mum has been suffering so much. I will certainly pray for her as she has to have the MRI scan, I will also pray for your brother in law, and your poor friend, and last, but by no means least, I will pray for you dear friend. I firmly believe in the power of prayer, and I really pray that all will be well for all of you. Hugs.

Donna you have had your share. Will send prayers for all of you. What a nightmare at that clinic. That happened here at the VA Hospital with them not sterilizing equipment. Unbelievable. Blessing and peace to you and your mom especially.

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. Can they play music while she is having this MRI? I do not like being in the tube either and had a long one and I brought my favorite music and they played it for me to hear and made it more bearable. Tell your brother-in-law to follow all his Drs instructions and he will be fine. It can be a difficult surgery and long recovery sometimes as I have had a few people in my life have various knee surgeries. Wow, you got hit hard with a lot of bad news. Best of luck with your colonoscopy. Sounds like you have really good Drs. What a horrible thing to go through, having to be checked for disease because of clinics doing such bad things. This happened to my Mom and she was tested and to this day fine. Praying for you, you family and friends. Hang in there.

Well. You know I will be praying for all of you, Donna. Dealing with the not-knowing... For your colonoscopy I was thinking. Oh, Donna.

And your mom doesn't need this stress. I have trouble with MRI's, too, so I will be thinking of her very particularly on the 21st.

And knee surgery is no fun. You have a full plate, dear friend. You know I love you. Time, distance, it does not matter.

Your correspondence has touched me when I have needed it. Do not think for one moment that I forget that!
