"The journey between who you once were and who you are now becoming, is where the dance of life really takes place." - Barbara De Angelis
This blog was formerly dedicated in 2009 to my Dad who died of Alzheimer's in 2013. It's been three years now...and I find myself missing blogging...so I am re-inventing my blog... because, after all, life is about moving through, and going forward...

That gave your brother time to think and reflect, I'm sure.
Just being near him is enough.
Sometimes just being there is enough.

There is a peacefulness to sitting quietly and reflecting.
I was able to sit w a Hospice patient, with the end stages of Alzheimer as well as Congested Heart Failure. He awoke terrible frightened. Not remembering me, fearful that his loving wife was not here. I was able to calm him, take his hand, and sooth him back to sleep. Before he feel asleep, he looked at me & thanked me. He held my hand while sleeping.
