I hope your dad is tolerating the shots okay (which makes me wonder why they went to shots right away instead of trying oral meds, but what do I know???)

the visit though did sound nice and its cool that he enjoys playing dominos!

let us know what you find out when you can!!

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2760293429495313618.post-36718024273234110752011-04-04T05:30:37.947-07:002011-04-04T05:30:37.947-07:00I'm sure you were shocked, Donna. I would be upset too!
We have a policy to notify family with any change of condition - if some vomits, gets a cold, has any new orders... we call the #1 person for that resident. It seems they should have something similar.Marihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06289456727508305342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2760293429495313618.post-87897234355751216332011-04-04T03:59:35.801-07:002011-04-04T03:59:35.801-07:00Donna,

As you say, it is very weird that they are suddenly checking your dad's blood sugar levels and have actually given him a shot of insulin! That's something you have to clarify pretty quickly. There's a lot of worrying there, isn't there Donna. I don't envy you. During the time that he was a John Doer he got almost no care at all. Once I showed up at the hospital I had to fight tooth and nail to improve his care but even when I was there every day care varied massively.Sultanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06506141014376919585noreply@blogger.com
